Hong Kong stock opening | Hang Seng Index rose 0.51%, technology stocks led the rise, Tencent Holdings (00700) rose nearly 3%

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on September 22, the Hang Seng Index opened 0.51% higher to 25,170.80 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 1.01% to 4,467.90 points. The state-owned enterprises index rose 0.40% to 8,373.03 points.

The Hang Seng IT Industry Index rose 2.25%, leading the industry indices; the Hang Seng Non-essential Consumption Index rose 0.88%. Among the constituent stocks of the Hang Seng Technology Index, Tianshu Zhixin (09903) rose 5.85%, MINIMAX-W (00100) rose 5.44%, and Tencent Music-SW (01698) rose 4.91%, the highest increase; among Hang Seng Index constituent stocks, Tencent Holdings (00700) rose 2.98%, Huahong Semiconductor (01347) rose 2.68%, and SMIC (00981) rose 2.13%, the highest increase. Optical module manufacturer Najun Technology (09856) went public on the first day of the market today, with an opening increase of 11.04% to HK$36.6.

The Hang Seng Energy Index fell 0.70%, leading the decline among all industry indices; the Hang Seng Industrial Index fell 0.25%. Among the constituent stocks of the Hang Seng Index, Zhongtong Express-W (02057) fell 6.09%, New Oriental-S (09901) fell 1.88%, and China Shenhua (01088) fell 1.11%, leading the decline. Among the constituent stocks of the Hang Seng Technology Index, Ideal Automobile-W (02015) fell 1.06%, Zero Sports Auto (09863) fell 0.81%, and BYD shares (01211) fell 0.55%, the decline was higher.

Overnight, the three major US stock indices collectively closed higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.71%, the S&P 500 index rose 1.49%, the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 2.26% to a record closing high, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 4.29%, and the US 10-year Treasury yield fell back to 4.95%. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index rose 0.71%, with the ADR of Zhongtong Express falling 7.20% and Ideal Auto's ADR falling 5.11%.
