Hong Kong Real Estate: The number of second-hand public housing registrations in Hong Kong reached 809 in the first 8 months, an increase of about 16.2% over the same period last year

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Wang Pindi, director of the Hong Kong Real Estate Research Department, said that according to data from the Comprehensive Land Registry of the Hong Kong Real Estate Information Research Department, Hong Kong recorded 809 second-hand public housing registrations (including free market with paid land prices and secondary market unpaid land prices) registrations in the first 8 months of this year, an increase of about 16.2% over 696 cases in the same period last year, the second highest in the same period since the record was set.

In terms of the number of second-hand public housing registrations in the first 8 months of this year divided into three districts, the Hong Kong Island region recorded 68 second-hand public housing registrations, an increase of about 30.8% over 52 in the same period last year; the Kowloon district (including Tseung Kwan O and Sai Kung) recorded 277 second-hand public housing registrations, an increase of about 18.9% over 233 in the same period last year; and the New Territories recorded 464 second-hand public housing registrations, an increase of about 12.9% over 411 in the same period last year.

In terms of the number of second-hand public housing registrations in the first 8 months of this year, Wong Tai Sin Tung Tau Estate topped the list with 37 registrations, an increase of about 37% over 27 in the same period last year; Cheung On Estate in Tsing Yi ranked second with 36 registrations, an increase of about 2.9% over 35 cases in the same period last year; and Chuk Yuen North Estate in Wong Tai Sin ranked third with 35 registrations, an increase of about 12.9% over 31 in the same period last year.
