From what we can see, insiders were net sellers in HUYA Inc.'s (NYSE:HUYA ) during the past 12 months. That is, insiders sold the stock in greater numbers than they purchased it.
While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.
In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the Chairman of the Board, Songtao Lin, sold US$115k worth of shares at a price of US$2.43 per share. So what is clear is that an insider saw fit to sell at around the current price of US$2.37. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. In this case, the big sale took place at around the current price, so it's not too bad (but it's still not a positive). The only individual insider seller over the last year was Songtao Lin.

Looking at the total insider shareholdings in a company can help to inform your view of whether they are well aligned with common shareholders. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. From what we can see in our data, insiders own only about US$204k worth of HUYA shares. This level of insider ownership is notably low, and not very encouraging.
