This is contrary to US President Trump's previous statement that the new security agreement will not cost Washington a penny. Trump's agreement with Denmark and Greenland on Tuesday allows the US to establish two new military bases on this semi-autonomous island and expand the existing Pitufik space base, while adding more locations as needed. Trump said at the time that he would build two “very important” military bases in Greenland.
