Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal said at a joint press conference after the meeting that the Gaza Strip must never be separated from the West Bank and East Jerusalem, both politically and territorially. He also said that the continuation of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the increase in violence and violations in the West Bank continue to weaken the viability of establishing a Palestinian state. The time has come to consolidate the cease-fire in Gaza, ensure immediate and unimpeded access of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and proceed with reconstruction. At the same time, the Palestinian National Authority should be supported to return to Gaza, and Israel should be urged to stop settlement activities, annexations, forced relocations, and settler violence.
