Agfa-Gevaert to Merge Digital Printing Business with Siris-backed EFI

02:18 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Agfa-Gevaert (AGFB.BR) agreed to combine its digital printing solutions business with industrial inkjet business Electronics for Imaging, a portfolio company of Siris. The digital imaging technology group said Monday it will own 40% of the combined company, while a Siris affiliate will hold the remaining 60%. However, Siris and Agfa will have equal governance rights under the structure. The companies expect the combination to generate "significant synergies" through enhanced cross-selling opportunities and broader access to new applications and geographies. The transaction is scheduled to close by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
