Egetis Therapeutics Obtains US FDA Approval for Emcitate in Peripheral Thyrotoxicosis

12:53 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Egetis Therapeutics (EGTX.ST) secured the US Food and Drug Administration's approval for Emcitate to treat peripheral thyrotoxicosis in adults and children with monocarboxylate transporter 8 deficiency. The pharmaceutical company said Monday that it supported its application with results from a comprehensive clinical development program that included the ReTRIACt, Triac Trial I, Triac Trial II, Erasmus Medical Center cohort study, EMC survival study and the US Expanded Access Program. Egetis expects the US commercial launch of Emcitate, or tiratricol, in the next eight to 10 weeks after approval.
