Fitch Keeps Inwit on Rating Watch Negative Amid Customer Contract Dispute

01:25 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fitch Ratings on Monday maintained Infrastrutture Wireless Italiane (INW.MI), d/b/a Inwit's, BBB-long-term issuer default rating on Rating Watch Negative. The rating agency flagged the risk of significant revenue loss after its anchor customers, Fastweb and Telecom Italia (TIT.MI), terminated their master service agreements with the Italian tower operator. Inwit is disputing the terminations, arguing that the contracts should remain in force until at least 2038 and that the relevant change-of-control provision was triggered only in 2022. Fitch said it expects to resolve the Rating Watch Negative once there is greater clarity over the outcome of the disputes.
