Tadawul Shares Extend Losing Streak; Saudi Arabia's Q2 Services Exports Decline

08:33 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Tadawul All Share Index extended a losing streak as it dropped 1.17% on Tuesday, with investors assessing Saudi Arabia's latest economic data for service exports and imports. According to the General Authority for Statistics, the kingdom's total services exports reached 59.5 billion Saudi riyals, down 16.5% quarter over quarter. Total services imports, on the other hand, rose 8.4% quarter over quarter to 120.8 billion riyals. "Transport services recorded imports worth SAR 34.1 billion, with maritime transport accounting for approximately 40.8% of the total value of transport services imports, followed by air and land transport at lower shares. Travel services recorded imports worth SAR 25.0 billion, of which personal travel services accounted for approximately 92.0% of the total value of travel services imports," the report said. Zooming out, the US and Iran renewed their efforts to end their conflict that started in February. The two parties talked through mediators, with additional discussions to happen within the week. Back at home, Mobile Telecommunication Co. Saudi Arabia (SASE:7030), d/b/a Zain KSA, started to deploy Finnish peer Nokia's deepfield cloud intelligence platform to boost its Saudi Arabian network. Shares of Zain KSA declined 0.80% at closing. In other news, Saudi Steel Pipe Co. (SASE:1320) and Arabian Pipes Co. (SASE:2200) secured contracts that involve steel pipe deliveries to state-owned oil giant Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (SASE:2222), d/b/a Saudi Aramco. Saudi Steel Pipe, Arabian Pipes Co., and Aramco closed 1.99%, 1.29%, and 1.10% lower, respectively.
