At the cutting edge of treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases, China is becoming a core position for the development and testing of innovative cell therapies. In particular, it has shown a leading trend in the world in the development of next-generation in-vivo CAR-T cell therapies. A report recently published in “Nature” magazine cites a comprehensive analysis of the development of in vivo CAR-T therapy, pointing out that although basic and pre-clinical research in this field is mainly completed by teams from the US, Germany and other countries, China is moving extremely rapidly in terms of clinical transformation. Currently, 82% of the 140 types of in vivo CAR-T drugs currently being tested on animals and humans around the world are being developed by the Chinese team.
