S&P Upgrades Banco BPM on Improvement in Stand-alone Creditworthiness

In a Tuesday note, the rating agency said the upgrade was primarily due to the improvement in the Italian bank's stand-alone creditworthiness. The outlook represented the possibility of another upgrade over the next 24 months, subject to the sustained strong performance of the bank and creditworthiness in line with higher-rated peers.
