Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the The Property Franchise Group PLC (LON:TPFG) CEO & Director, Gareth Samples, recently bought UK£45k worth of stock, for UK£4.13 per share. However, it only increased their shares held by 1.6%, and it wasn't a huge purchase by absolute value, either.
In fact, the recent purchase by CEO & Director Gareth Samples was not their only acquisition of Property Franchise Group shares this year. They previously made an even bigger purchase of UK£48k worth of shares at a price of UK£4.82 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than UK£4.15 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when insiders have purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price.
