British Quarterly GDP Grows 0.5% in Q2, Final Data Shows

02:17 AM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK's quarterly gross domestic product rose 0.5% in the second quarter, after a 0.6% increase in the prior three-month period, final data from the Office for National Statistics showed Wednesday. The final reading comes in above the preliminary figure of a 0.4% gain. On a yearly basis, the British economy expanded 1.4% in the quarter, against the preliminary reading of a 1.2% increase and the revised 0.8% growth earlier.
