Aura Energy Names Executive Team to Advance Tiris Uranium Project in Mauritania

05:09 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aura Energy (AURA.L) appointed an executive team for the Tiris uranium project in Mauritania as it transitions from development to construction, according to a Thursday notice. John Carr was named president, Jeremy Carter was appointed chief strategy officer, Spencer Davey will join as chief financial officer in early November, and Phil Mitchell remains executive chair and will lead the project financing through to close. The uranium and battery metals miner said it will release the bankable feasibility study by mid-October. The result will form the basis of Aura's ongoing discussions with potential strategic partners and project financiers as it continues to target project financing by year-end.
