04:11 AM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- France's private sector activity rebounded in September, as higher output offset the absence of sales and employment growth and rising inflation, final data from S&P Global showed Monday. The S&P Global France Composite PMI Output Index came in at a 25-month high of 51.1 in September, slightly below the flash estimate of 51.2 and above 48.5 in August. Meanwhile, the services PMI came in at 51.2, down from the previous month's 48 and the preliminary reading of 51.4. While the modest uptick was well below the survey average, it signaled the first rise in services business activity since December 2025.
