03:45 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- France's construction sector saw another steep decline in overall activity in September, with activity, new orders, and year-ahead expectations all falling sharply, S&P Global said Tuesday. The S&P Global France Construction PMI Total Activity Index rose to 39.8 in September from 37.3 in August, which was the lowest level in more than six years. The September reading remained well below the 50.0 mark separating growth from contraction.
