The Zhitong Finance App learned that J.P. Morgan Chase (JPM.US) CEO Dimon said in an interview that Anthropic's Mythos AI model may increase global cybersecurity risks by about 10 times, and warned that with the rapid development of technologies such as AI agents, companies are facing a new type of security vulnerability that did not exist in the past.
Dimon said that before the rapid development of generative AI, cybersecurity was already an important risk that enterprises were concerned about for a long time, and the advent of AI has created some vulnerabilities that were previously unknown. He pointed out that AI agents and technologies such as Mythos may be used to cause damage, and the security risks brought about by this are not theoretical concerns, but actual risks.
Notably, despite Dimon's warning about the cybersecurity risks posed by AI, J.P. Morgan Chase itself is still one of the banking industry's most active institutions deploying AI technology. According to the 2026 Qualified AI Index, J.P. Morgan Chase was ranked as the bank with the most advanced AI applications in the world for the fifth year in a row, followed by Capital One Credit (COF.US) and Royal Bank of Canada (RY.US).
When talking about the construction of data centers driven by the AI boom, Dimon said that data centers should be built in regions that can receive support from local communities. He pointed out that many states in the US have sufficient electricity supply and are also willing to accept data center projects. As demand for AI model training and inference grows rapidly, electricity supply and local community acceptance of large-scale data center construction are becoming important factors to consider in the expansion of the industry.
Meanwhile, Anthropic is speeding up its listing plan. According to previous reports, the company is likely to launch an IPO in mid-November as soon as possible, and is seeking to land on US stocks before Thanksgiving on November 26, and may complete the listing before the end of this year at the latest. According to market news, Anthropic's potential valuation may reach 1.8 trillion to 2 trillion US dollars, but the specific valuation and distribution scale have not yet been finalized. The company also plans to hold a meeting with potential investors on October 14 to prepare for the IPO.
