US Vice President JD Vance said in an interview with the media that Iran must substantially reduce its nuclear enrichment capacity in order to meet the demands of the US side and end the conflict. Vance said that any agreement requires Iran to reduce its current nuclear enrichment production capacity, not just promise to reduce its nuclear capacity in the future. He said that the US is still willing to reach an agreement, but Iran must make real concessions in the nuclear field. Vance revealed that the US is in talks with Iranian President Masood Pezheziyan and Foreign Minister Abbas Alagach. Vance said, “We have noticed that Iran's decision-making mechanism is not entirely clear.” Vance said that Iran has attacked some ships, but this is not enough to stop oil and gas transportation. Vance said he has yet to decide whether to participate in the 2028 presidential election.
