The Zhitong Finance App learned that Wang Pindi, director of the Hong Kong Real Estate Research Department, said that according to the Hong Kong Real Estate Research Department's comprehensive first-hand residential property sales information network data and market information, the first nine months of this year recorded 14,876 first-hand transactions, a slight decrease of about 1.8% from 15153 in the same period last year, but it was still the second highest in nearly 7 years; in terms of value, the first-hand transaction involved an amount of about HK$191.59 billion, a significant increase of about 30.6% from HK$146.73 billion in the same period last year, and a significant increase of about 30.6% from the first-hand sales regulations after the first-hand sales regulations came into effect A record high for the same period.

The year-on-year performance of first-hand transactions was remarkable, mainly driven by the year-on-year improvement of medium- and high-priced property transactions; if the first-hand volume performance in the first nine months of this year was divided by value, over HK$6 million to HK$10 million recorded 6,736 transactions, an increase of about 58.6% over 4246 transactions in the same period last year; 4,613 transactions over HK$10 million were recorded, an increase of about 43.3% over 3219 transactions in the same period last year.

Furthermore, the performance of luxury properties this year was quite good, which is another reason driving first-hand sales of over HK$50 million; the first nine months of this year recorded 416 first-hand transactions of over HK$50 million, surpassing 386 transactions in the whole of last year by about 7.8%, setting a record high for first-hand residential property sales regulations in 2013. Among them, Zhongxi Tianyu topped the list with 41 first-hand transactions of over HK$50 million, Kai Tak Tianxi Sea ranked second with 30 first-hand transactions of over HK$50 million, followed by Kowloon Tong Yuen with 26 one-hand transactions of over HK$50 million.
