Bendigo Bank said that due to supply disruptions and rising demand for wheat caused by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Australia's grain exports this month are expected to be 47% higher than average. The country's grain exports are expected to reach about 2.6 million tons in October, of which about two-thirds are wheat, and most of the rest are barley and rapeseed. Attacks on ships and grain terminals have escalated in the Black Sea region, seriously impacting Russian and Ukrainian wheat exports. Australia is expected to usher in the busiest October grain export season in 16 years.
