Trump administration officials say the government is now making it mandatory for AI companies to report and correct security incidents after Anthropic's “fraudulent” use of government systems. The White House “Super Smart Force” leader said in a statement: “This notification and redress process is not an option. This is a critical national security obligation.” According to the government, Anthropic contacted the government to share details of incidents involving “unauthorized and fraudulent use of government and other systems” discovered at the end of last month, and related activities have since ceased. The White House's requirements apply to all AI companies. The “Super Smart Force” stated: “SI must immediately disclose the incident involving its model and act quickly and decisively to remedy any and all damage.”
