Recently, SPD Bank, in conjunction with the National Meteorological Information Center, TCL Industrial Holdings Co., Ltd., and Guotai Junan Risk Management Co., Ltd. successfully launched the country's first “Structured Deposit Linked to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Temperature Index” pilot project. The project is an innovative exploration of the “meteorology x finance” service scenario. It aims to provide physical enterprises with new risk management methods to cope with climate change through weather index derivatives.
