Valuno Group to Appeal Swedish Tax Agency's Bank Guarantee Requirement for Tax Deferment

01:40 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Valuno Group (QBT.F) plans to appeal the Swedish Tax Agency's decision requiring a bank guarantee for the deferral of the income tax and interest totaling 23.4 million kronor until Nov. 2. The regulator, however, agreed to defer the payment of tax surcharges totaling 20.7 million kronor without requiring security, according to an Oct. 10 release. The Swedish Tax Agency temporarily extended the financial technology company's payment deadline to Nov. 12 from Oct. 12, pending a final decision on whether security is required. In September, the tax agency ruled that Valuno Group, rather than its Gibraltar-based subsidiary QuickBit Ltd., performed the value-creating functions and controlled the significant risks. Valuno Group subsequently filed an appeal against the ruling.
