According to Woofun AI, the Solana (SOL) spot ETF experienced a fundamental reversal in capital flow and recorded a net outflow of 24.8 million dollars in the week ending October 9, which not only ended the 14-week continuous net inflow trend since the product was launched in October 2025, but also set a new record for the largest weekly outflow in history.

According to data compiled by Woofun AI, the scale of this outflow far exceeds the previous outflow record of 8.9 million US dollars set as of February 6, almost tripling; in contrast, this type of product attracted 188.2 million US dollars in inflows two weeks ago, setting the second highest weekly record, while the inflow for the week ending October 2 has plummeted to 2.4 million US dollars. In the broader market, Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs and Ethereum (ETH) ETFs have experienced capital withdrawals of $681.1 million and $542.1 million respectively. Among them, Ethereum ETFs have shown net outflows for the ninth consecutive week, and Zcash (ZEC) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) ETFs have also recorded net outflows of $30.7 million and $9.4 million, respectively. The net assets of Solana-related funds shrunk from $1.9 billion to $1.73 billion, a decrease of 8.9%, but of the total net worth decline of $170 million, only about $25 million was due to capital outflows, and the rest was mainly due to a 10.25% drop in SOL prices;

Despite a slight recovery in the price to $111.53 over the weekend (a 24-hour increase of 1.45%), the market is keeping a close eye on follow-up data covering the trading situation up to October 16 to verify whether investors re-entered the market after the price correction.

In stark contrast to the general outflow of mainstream currencies, the Ripple (XRP) ETF bucked the trend and attracted $11.3 million in capital, extending the number of weeks of continuous net inflows to 13 weeks. The last time there was a net outflow dates back to July 10. Even though the price of XRP fell by 8.2% over the same period and investors' willingness to buy did not decrease, driving its cumulative net inflow to a new high of $1.8 billion, its net worth of $1.57 billion is still slightly lower. Looking at capital accumulation from January 1, 2026 to the present, Solana and Ripple-related ETFs have absorbed US$816.8 million and US$635.5 million respectively, both significantly surpassing the Bitcoin spot ETF's US$494.1 million, indicating that capital preferences are shifting to non-Bitcoin mainstream assets.

This divergence in the funding structure marks a shift in market sentiment from general rise to selective allocation, and sharp fluctuations in Solana ETFs may indicate a decline in short-term speculation.
