Hengrui Pharmaceutical (01276): SHR-3201 injection approved for clinical trials

Zhitong Finance App News, Hengrui Pharmaceutical (01276) issued an announcement. Recently, Beijing Shengdi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”), received approval from the State Drug Administration (hereinafter referred to as the “State Drug Administration”) to issue a “Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice” for SHR-3201 injections and will conduct clinical trials in the near future.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurocognitive disease that gradually erodes patients' memory, judgment, cognition, and learning ability, and is the leading cause of dementia in the elderly. AD can affect patients' mood, thinking, and behavior, as well as overall personality traits, temperament, and self-perception, causing serious family and social burdens. SHR-3201 injection is a drug independently developed by the company to treat AD. It can remove biomarkers of disease in patients' brains and delay patients' cognitive decline. According to inquiries, no similar drugs have been approved for marketing at home or abroad. Up to now, the total R&D investment for SHR-3201 injection-related projects is approximately RMB 48.8 million (unaudited).
