US President Trump posted on social media: “Our beautiful and brand-new Greenland is preparing to launch large-scale oil, gas, and mineral exploration! According to some experts, the oil reserves that are easy to extract here far exceed almost anywhere else in the world. More importantly, judging from the security goals of the US and Europe, the strategic position here is unrivaled in the world. Any future attack on the US will have to cross Greenland, where our defense system will routinely intercept drones, missiles, or any weapon not yet conceived. It gave us an advantage of time, location, and sight unmatched anywhere else in the world! Thank you all for your attention to this matter.”
