Aliko Dangote, CEO of Dangote Group, said at an event held in Gaborone, the capital of Botswana: “We currently do not have our own ships, so we are planning to purchase nearly 25 ships to carry our goods.” He revealed that Dangote is planning to build a new refinery, but since the agreement has not yet been signed, the site selection will not be disclosed. He said, “If this refinery project is implemented, we must cancel the liquefied natural gas project because we are more optimistic about the refining business than the liquefied natural gas business.”
