12:01 AM EDT, 10/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ferrovial-led (FER.MC) consortium Top End Mobility Group secured the contract for the multi-phase $8.9 billion I-285 East Express Lanes project in Greater Atlanta, Georgia, in the US. The infrastructure company said Thursday that it will work on the project with the Tikehau Star Infra unit of alternative asset manager Tikehau Capital. The long-term contract covers the financing, design, building, operation and maintenance of the 21-mile first phase. The Top End consortium will also work on the delivery of the remaining phases under a separate deal. The wider I-285 project, with an expected total length of 37.5 miles, is a public-private partnership jointly led by the Georgia Department of Transportation and the State Road and Tollway Authority.
