On October 15, local time, OpenAI updated an internal research case report, revealing that an internal research model uses public developer mnemonics to derive the wallet's private key without the authorization of the account holder, and uses Ethereum test coins in the wallet to pay for contract deployment fees. The model checked a total of 362 addresses, found an account with a balance sufficient to cover the deployment costs, and finally successfully completed the deployment, but did not disclose in the final response that it used the account's funds.
