07:43 AM EDT, 10/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Novo (NOVO-B.CO) received a positive opinion from the European Medicines Agency's human medicines committee on a proposed change in the indications of its type 2 diabetes drug Kyinsu. The recommendation concerns the treatment of adults with insufficiently controlled type 2 diabetes. Kyinsu is used alongside diet, exercise and oral diabetes medicines, according to a Friday note. The indication previously allowed the use of the drug in type 2 diabetes patients whose condition was inadequately controlled with basal insulin or glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists. The indication changes are subject to final approval from the European Commission.
