Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun is optimistic about the recent sharp decline in the AI sector stock market, saying that the benefits brought by this technology will soon overshadow investors' concerns. In an interview at an event in Berlin, Hwang In-hoon said, “All of this will eventually pass. The reason is simple. Artificial intelligence will bring about changes and will have an extremely positive impact on every industry and every country. This trend will definitely continue, and we're still in the early stages.” Hwang In-hoon is visiting Europe this week. This statement puts a footnote on the ups and downs of chip and AI infrastructure companies this week. The much-publicized Philadelphia Semiconductor Index has been falling for eight consecutive trading days, setting the record for the longest continuous decline since 2008. Nvidia's stock price closed down on 7 of the past eight trading days. Investors are concerned that capital expenditure in the AI sector will be difficult to sustain in an environment where borrowing costs are high. Even so, Hwang In-hoon is still optimistic about the AI market and its driving effect on the macroeconomy. He believes that the return from large-scale hardware investments will eventually calm market fears. “As for all kinds of news, they are short-term information with ups and downs.” He said, “Everyone knows there is endless news, but it won't change the fundamentals.”
