12:54 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Truecaller (TRUE-B.ST) is facing a potential gross tax claim of 900 million kronor, including interest, in connection with an ongoing transfer pricing audit by Indian tax authorities. The Swedish contact verification platform received an initial order for the 2022/2023 financial year proposing additional tax and interest of 270 million kronor, according to a Monday release. It estimates its net potential exposure across all audited years at 550 million kronor after accounting for potential tax relief in Sweden. Truecaller disputes the claims and plans to pursue legal appeals in India alongside a bilateral resolution process involving Swedish and Indian tax authorities, which could take up to three years. The company expects any final settlement to be substantially lower than the initial claims.
