On the morning of October 19, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council met with President Rahmon of Tajikistan in Dushanbe. Li Qiang said that China and Thailand are currently promoting the establishment of a common destiny between the two countries. In May of this year, President Xi Jinping met with President Rahmon to make further plans for the development of bilateral relations. China values its deep friendship with the Thai side and will always view Sino-Thai relations from a strategic and long-term perspective. We are willing to consolidate and deepen mutual political trust with Thailand, firmly support each other's core interests, continuously improve the quality and efficiency of cooperation, and continue to move forward together on the path to modernization. Li Qiang pointed out that China is willing to expand the scale of bilateral trade with Thailand, strengthen cooperation in infrastructure, green minerals, connectivity, etc., expand cooperation in emerging industries such as the digital economy and artificial intelligence, and jointly enhance economic growth momentum. The two sides should deepen cooperation in law enforcement and security, strengthen intelligence exchange and sharing, jointly crack down on the “three forces”, and maintain lasting peace and stability in the region. We hope that the Thai side will continue to take strong measures to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel and enterprises in Tajikistan. China fully supports the Thai side in organizing this SCO prime minister meeting, and is willing to work with all parties to promote higher quality development of the SCO. China is also willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with Thailand in multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations and China and Central Asia, actively implement the four major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, and work together to build a community of human destiny. Rahmon said that the Thai side has always attached great importance to and greatly values its partnership with China. In May of this year, during my visit to China, I successfully met with President Xi Jinping and reached a series of important agreements, pointing out the direction for the development of relations between Thailand and China. The Thai side firmly abides by the one-China principle and firmly supports China in safeguarding its core interests. The Thai side is willing to further deepen cooperation with China in the fields of economy and trade, industry, agriculture, energy and minerals, connectivity, artificial intelligence, etc., and promote cultural exchanges.
