On October 20, Swiss industrial technology company ABB announced the establishment of a joint venture with Mitsubishi Electric to acquire 51% of the new company's shares for 79 billion yen and wholly acquire the sales business of low-voltage power distribution products related to Mitsubishi Electric outside of Japan. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2027 and is subject to regulatory approval.
