On Tuesday, the South Korean stock market fell more than 3%, closing at its lowest level in more than six months. Chip stocks weakened one after another due to concerns related to the global AI investment boom. After two consecutive trading days of rebound, the Korea Composite Stock Price Index fell 215.27 points, or 3.73%, to close at 5,552.74 points, the lowest closing level since April 7. Lee Kyung-min, an analyst at Daxin Securities, said: “The sustainability of the recent rebound is limited because concerns about the credit and profitability surrounding AI investments have yet to be fully dispelled.”
