Yancoal Australia (03668) equity sales in the third quarter were 9 million tons, down 23% month-on-month and 16% year-on-year

According to the Zhitong Finance App, Yancoal Australia (03668) announced that in the third quarter of 2026 (based on a 100% benchmark), raw coal production was 16.6 million tons, a decrease of 5% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 5%; commercial coal production was 12.4 million tons, a decrease of 10% month-on-month and an increase of 1% year-on-year. The production of equity commercial coal was 9.4 million tons, a decrease of 13% from the previous month and an increase of 2% over the previous year. Equity sales were 9 million tons, down 23% month-on-month and 16% year-on-year.

In addition, sales prices continued to rise this quarter. Among them, the sales price of thermal coal rose 7% and the sales price of metallurgical coal increased 5%. The recent rise in benchmark coal prices is expected to be further reflected in sales prices in subsequent quarters. The company's average coal sales price was $170/ton, and the quarter's cash balance increased by $340 million.
