11:51 PM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Hutchmed (China) (HCM.L) completed its exclusive development and license agreement with a subsidiary of British drugmaker GSK (GSK.L) concerning its drug candidate HMPL-A830. The London-listed biopharmaceutical company said Wednesday that the deal covers the development and commercialization of the first-in-class antibody-targeted therapy conjugate worldwide, except for mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. It expects to generate $110 million in upfront payment plus up to $1.19 billion in additional development, regulatory and commercial milestone payments and tiered royalties from the licensing agreement. The unnamed GSK unit will take over the clinical development and commercialization of the drug candidate after the global phase 1 development program. HMPL-A830 is being developed as a treatment for patients with colorectal, pancreatic and lung cancers.
