PHOENIX (AP) — PHOENIX (AP) — Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. (KNX) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $118.3 million.

The Phoenix-based company said it had net income of 72 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 83 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 75 cents per share.

The trucking company posted revenue of $2.2 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.14 billion.
