Hargreaves Services Signs 15-year Logistics Deal for UK Deposit Return Scheme

06:40 AM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Hargreaves Services (HSP.L) secured a 15-year contract with Australian recycling and resource recovery company Re.Group to provide logistics services into the planned UK Deposit Return Scheme. The London-listed diversified services group will deliver collection, transport and transfer station services for the scheme in Scotland, moving returned drink containers from retail return points to designated processing facilities, according to a Thursday release. Hargreaves was announced as the preferred bidder for the contract on Sept. 30, 2026. The contract will start in October 2027, when the deposit return scheme will launch across the UK.
