Listen to the news

Technology stocks have witnessed a correction in the past few weeks. This has sparked renewed discussion on a potential bubble among tech stocks. Ken Griffin, CEO of Citadel, opined that investors are 'almost certainly' in an AI bubble. On the other hand, Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang dismissed concerns about an AI bubble.

As this debate rages, investors should have their eyes firmly on fundamentals and the industry tailwinds. GF Securities might therefore be right in looking at any potential correction as a “buying opportunity for quality names” that includes Nvidia.

GF Securities opines that “networking roadmap now spans both co‑packaged optics and the new USFP pluggable standard.” The latter will be used to connect massive AI data center clusters and implies sustained demand for Nvidia’s products. At the same time, the Vera Rubin platform will be ramped up into full production and will have a positive impact on growth.

To put things into perspective, the combined orders for Blackwell and Rubin are expected to reach $1 trillion through 2027. Therefore, the growth outlook remains robust for Nvidia, and any correction is an opportunity to accumulate.

About Nvidia Stock

Headquartered in Santa Clara, Calif., Nvidia identifies itself as a world leader in accelerated computing. Further, with global AI infrastructure expected to hit $31.6 trillion through 2050, Nvidia is well positioned as a data center-scale AI infrastructure company.

Backed by innovation-driven growth, Nvidia commands a market valuation of $5.2 trillion. Since inception, the company has invested $76.7 billion in research and development. The company’s business is divided into two segments: The Compute & Networking segment and the Graphics segment. Overall, the company’s platform addresses four large markets that include data center, gaming, professional visualization, and automotive.

Considering the investments in AI infrastructure, Nvidia has been on a high-growth trajectory. For Q2 FY27, the company reported 106% year-on-year growth in revenue to $96.2 billion. A gross margin of 75% for the same period is indicative of the company’s moat.

In addition to robust growth, Nvidia has witnessed strong cash flow upside. For the first half of FY27, Nvidia reported operating cash flow of $74.4 billion. While NVDA stock has trended higher by just 7% in the last six months, a forward price-earnings ratio of 23 points to attractive valuations and upside potential.

Bullish Outlook

Nvidia commands a gross margin of 75%, unique for a hardware business, which signals the company’s pricing power. In a market where AI infrastructure spending is unlikely to decelerate, Nvidia is well positioned to garner similar margins in the coming years. This implies robust cash flows and ample headroom for shareholder value creation. This view is underscored by the point that Nvidia is a platform company for the AI buildout, making it unlike a cyclical chip vendor.

In terms of guidance, Nvidia expects Q3 revenue of $108 billion (plus or minus 2%). Further, gross margin is expected to remain healthy at 74%. As strong results come in, it is likely to ensure NVDA's downside is capped. It’s also worth noting that valuations are not stretched even if there is a “AI bubble” expected for the broader technology sector.
