Kitron walked into today’s Q3 2026 report with the stock down roughly 13% over the past month and sitting at NOK85.45, a level that already reflected some cooling enthusiasm after a strong run. The headline print was hard to ignore for an electronic manufacturing specialist: revenue of about €266.8m and an EBIT margin of 9.5% in the quarter kept profitability firmly in focus even as volumes shifted.
Short term traders reacted to the recent slide. Long term holders are now weighing that same price against rising earnings power and a thicker 7.1% trailing net profit margin over the past year.
Love Kitron’s steady EBIT and net profit margins but unsure whether to keep hunting within electronic manufacturing alone? Benchmark it against a broader set of resilient operators using our list of solid balance sheet and fundamentals stocks (204 results).
Ask Charlie what Kitron’s backlog says about future defense demand.
The bullish story argues that defence demand and extra factory space will support a stronger earnings profile for Kitron over time.
"Expansion of production capacity across Sweden, Norway, Lithuania and Poland, including new factories and additional footprint. This is expected to support higher throughput and could help protect EBIT margins as volumes scale."
Q3 results give that claim real backing. Defence and Aerospace contributed about €124m of quarterly revenue and helped lift the overall EBIT margin to 9.5%. New sites such as Longum are already in use, and the enlarged order backlog of €843m shows those facilities have work lined up rather than empty floors.

The cautious view says Kitron’s order book is impressive but component scarcity and customer funding risk could trip execution.
"While grid and data center electrification is feeding steady demand, including about €120 million of data center related revenue, tight global supply for substrates, memory and processors that are also used in AI compute can pressure gross margin through higher material content and expedite fees."
Q3 commentary on “very tight” components into 2027 and weaker Nordic and North America profitability show this concern is live. EBIT margin held at 9.5%, yet Q3 operating cash flow sagged to €3.1m after a €40m inventory build, hinting that supply friction and working capital strain remain unresolved milestones rather than retired risks.
Kitron recently highlighted how reported margins and cash movements can leave earnings quality open to interpretation. The real opportunity is studying stocks that could be undervalued before the market adjusts their pricing.
