Terveystalo Oyj walked into its Q3 2026 earnings with the share price already under pressure, down about 19% over the past month and closing at €6.27 on 22 October. The headline this quarter is not revenue of €263.2m or basic earnings per share of €0.04. The real story is the profit squeeze. Net income from continuing operations fell to €5.5m, compressing margins and putting fresh scrutiny on a business that screens cheap on P/E and discounted cash flow models but carries high debt and a dividend that strains current earnings.

The upbeat story says new services and channels should steadily lift revenue quality and profitability for Terveystalo.
"Expansion into new public and private healthcare initiatives, as well as high-demand segments, positions the company for sustainable revenue growth and margin enhancement."
Q3 shows some groundwork but not yet the pay-off. Dental grew and Hohde added roughly €5.5m to €6.2m of sales, yet group revenue still fell about 6% and net profit margin on a trailing 12 month view sits at 4.8%, below 7.0% a year earlier. Margin enhancement remains a missed milestone for now.
Sceptics focus on execution risk and whether cost savings and tech projects arrive fast enough to offset weak demand and higher wages.
"Labor cost inflation and workforce shortages, evident in the need for efficiency improvements and technology investment, could drive up the fixed cost base and compress operating margins, especially if demand remains subdued or shifts more rapidly to lower-margin telehealth services than the company can offset with efficiency gains."
Q3 results lean toward this concern. Revenue declined and adjusted EBIT fell as operating leverage turned negative even though variable costs were cut quickly. Management lowered full year adjusted operating profit guidance to €110m to €120m, which indicates efficiency efforts are not yet fully cushioning the weaker volume environment.
