The Zhitong Finance App learned that Gaoxin Retail (06808) fell by more than 6%. As of press release, it fell 5.68% to HK$1.08, with a turnover of about HK$2,828,900.

According to the news, on the evening of October 25, Gaoxin Retail issued a profit warning. It is expected that the net loss and loss attributable to the company owner for the six months ending September 30, 2026 will be about 500 million yuan to 550 million yuan (same below), while net loss and loss attributable to company owners for the same period last year were 127 million yuan and 123 million yuan respectively. During the period, the Group expects to obtain adjusted EBITDA, that is, profit before adjusted interest, tax, depreciation and amortization, of approximately $1 billion to $1.05 billion (not measured by the Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards).

Expected net losses and losses attributable to company owners are mainly due to the narrowing of the downward trend in customer unit prices during the period, but passenger flow declined somewhat due to market competition and diversion, leading to a decline in revenue; cost savings partially offset profit losses due to declining revenue; product and supply chain adjustments, store and shopping street adjustments are still in the transformation and adjustment stage; and some proposed closure of stores continued to generate losses during the relevant period, which in turn put short-term pressure on current profit.
