Saudi Arabian-led multinational coalition spokesman Turki Maliki issued a statement on the morning of the 26th saying that the coalition forces carried out attacks on military targets in areas controlled by the Houthis in Yemen in response to repeated attacks by the organization. The statement said that the operation destroyed 5 tunnels used to store ballistic missiles, 4 ballistic missile launch platforms, and a missile warehouse. The operation attacked frontline fortifications, personnel assembly points and military equipment of the Houthis in Yemen. The coalition forces will continue to take deterrent combat measures against the Houthis. Maliki said on social media earlier on the 26th that the coalition forces intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired by the Houthis at the Saudi capital Riyadh on the same day. In the early morning of the same day, several explosions sounded in downtown Riyadh.
