07:14 AM EDT, 10/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Wärtsilä (WRT1V.HE) secured an engineering, procurement and construction contract from Brazilian utility Termocabo for a gas conversion project in Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Brazil. The Finnish marine and energy technology group will convert the Termocabo power station to run on natural gas instead of heavy fuel oil, according to a Monday release. The project involves converting the plant's three existing Wärtsilä 46 engines, including upgrades to the electrical, automation and auxiliary systems, with commissioning scheduled for July 2028.
