07:35 AM EDT, 10/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Commission accepted Temu's action plan to address the availability of illegal products on its platform, following a May decision that fined the online marketplace 200 million euros for breaching the bloc's Digital Services Act. The action plan includes Temu carrying out a platform-specific risk analysis, evaluating the effectiveness of mitigation measures, reviewing content moderation and recommender systems, and examining how sellers may exploit platform features to promote potentially illegal listings. Temu has four months to conduct an interim risk assessment covering six months through Nov. 30 to ensure the measures are implemented.
