On Monday, Anthropic’s IPO filing has drawn bullish reactions from investors and market strategists, with Futurum Equities’ Shay Boloor highlighting improving compute efficiency as the Claude maker prepares for a potential blockbuster public debut.
Anthropic, the company behind Claude, publicly filed its registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.
The company reported $16.3 billion in revenue for the first half of 2026, sharply up from $4.6 billion in 2025. However, infrastructure spending also surged, reaching nearly $9 billion in the first six months of 2026, compared with $7.3 billion for all of 2025.
Markets reportedly expect Anthropic to raise as much as $100 billion at a potential valuation of approximately $2 trillion, although the final terms remain uncertain.
Boloor, chief market strategist at Futurum Equities, said Anthropic’s filing shows the company generating $2.08 in revenue for every dollar spent on computing, up from just $0.40 in the first quarter of 2025.
"What’s wild is that revenue grew ~29x while compute spending rose only ~6x," Boloor wrote on X, attributing the trend to products such as Claude Code gaining traction and more efficient models reducing the cost of running AI tasks.
Futurum Group CEO Daniel Newman also pushed back against the characterization of Anthropic as a cash-burning business.
Based on the figures he cited, Newman estimated the company had burned about $10 billion after raising about $141 billion and retaining $131 billion in cash and equivalents.
He also highlighted Anthropic’s rapid revenue expansion, contrasting its 2024 revenue of hundreds of millions of dollars with a projected exit-2026 annualized revenue run rate approaching $100 billion.
"$ANT is the planned ticker for Anthropic which looks to be forging ahead with its IPO despite recent credit jitters and macro concerns," he said in another post.
Altimeter Capital CEO Brad Gerstner congratulated Anthropic on the filing, saying his firm intended to participate substantially in the IPO alongside its existing ownership.
Social Capital founder Chamath Palihapitiya offered a shorter endorsement, describing Anthropic as "an amazing business."
