03:20 AM EDT, 10/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Leading Edge Materials (LEMSE.ST) unit Greenna Mineral started work on an environmental impact assessment for its Norra Kärr heavy rare earth elements project in Sweden, according to a Wednesday release. The assessment is an important step in the permitting process and will initially focus on a nature value inventory and preliminary studies. Further investigations will be determined through consultations with authorities, local communities and other stakeholders. The Swedish Government granted Greenna Mineral a 25-year exploitation concession for the project in June. The company plans to submit an application for an environmental permit in 2027.
