GBank Financial Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: GBFH) shares fell 29.66% to $12 in after-hours trading Wednesday after the bank holding company reported lower third-quarter earnings.

GBank Financial Holdings operates GBank, providing commercial and retail banking services to businesses and individuals across several U.S. states.

Third-Quarter Earnings Decline

GBank Financial reported third-quarter net income of $3.9 million, or $0.27 per diluted share, compared with $5.5 million, or $0.38 per share, in the second quarter of 2026 and $4.3 million, or $0.30 per share, a year earlier.

Adjusted net income, excluding non-core items, totaled $4.3 million, or $0.30 per diluted share, down from $6.3 million, or $0.44 per share, in the third quarter of 2025.

Net revenue fell 7.3% sequentially to $20.3 million, primarily due to lower interchange fees and fewer loans sold.

Sports Betting Changes Hit Income

The company said several large sports betting operators discontinued credit cards as a funding source, reducing net interchange fee income. Gaming-related credit card transaction volume fell to $19.5 million in the third quarter from $84.2 million in the second quarter, while net interchange fee income declined 84.6% to $0.3 million.

GBank Financial CEO Jeff Newgard said the bank’s core franchise performed well, citing higher net interest income, an improved net interest margin and strong Small Business Administration lending production. He added that the legacy retail credit card portfolio would continue to affect credit-loss provisions in the near term.
