T-Mobile US stock barely flinched after Q3 2026 results, slipping about 0.5% today and extending a softer run over the past month. The muted move came against a headline print that showed another quarter of solid earnings power, with basic EPS at US$3.23 and net income of US$3.46b.
On a single trading day view, that price action looks sleepy. Through a longer lens, investors are weighing a wireless giant that is still generating sizeable cash, trading on a modest trailing P/E of 14, and facing the long haul of capital needs and debt on its balance sheet.

The bullish story says T-Mobile US can turn its tech and product bets into richer customer revenue streams.
"The main thing that has to go right is that T-Mobile US continues to convert network and AI investments into higher value postpaid, broadband and adjacency revenue, while keeping churn and competitive pressures in check."
Q3 results line up with that ambition. Postpaid ARPA grew above 4% and guidance for 2026 ARPA growth ticked higher, which points to more revenue per account. Management reaffirmed the 1.0 million postpaid net account add goal and highlighted stronger free cash flow guidance. FWA broadband and fiber both showed progress toward 2030 targets, so the growth engine is still hitting milestones rather than stalling.
On the flip side, the worry is that price hikes and tougher rivals undo that progress.
"Elevated churn linked to T-Mobile US rate plan modernization and higher wireless bills, including the retirement of over 1,000 legacy plans and price increases of up to US$6 per line that contributed to a 5.9% jump in industry bills in one month, could weaken customer growth and put pressure on service revenue and earnings."
So far, Q3 numbers do not show that crack. Postpaid account adds remained positive and guidance for 2026 account growth stayed intact, which suggests churn is being managed. Service revenue guidance for the year edged up, not down. Competitive pressure is real, including Starlink headlines, yet T-Mobile US still reported faster postpaid service revenue expansion and solid broadband traction, so the feared pricing backlash is not yet visible in these results.
